If you've ever been to our house, one of the first things that you saw were the 4 ugly bushes guarding the front of our house. These bushes stood as sentinels protecting our house for probably the last 40 years. Yesterday, we relieved these protectors of their duty as we took them to their final resting place....the city dump.
It was pretty cool hooking the bushes to the back of the Jeep and ripping them from their home. The crappy part was trying to single handedly wrestle those prickly monsters into the back of the truck.
Going, going
Gone!
Ahhh. our house can breath
It was a very productive day. We took 6 truck loads to the dump. 2 were the front bushes, the other 4 were a dead tree and limbs from the back yard. Our thanks go out to my dad for letting us borrow his truck, to the Pridays for showing up out of the blue and helping us in the back yard, to the sun for giving our skin some much needed color, and to mighty Zeus for giving me the Herculean strength that it took to load those awful bushes into the back of the truck.

The house does look nice, the key now will be to fill that in with something other than weeds.
Can I help you plant something else? I love to plant things and I don't really have a yard now. :(
