Were back!
We left on Saturday for Yellowstone with a few of our friends, the Condies and the Fords. Abe's brother lent us his RV. (Note to all who borrow an RV, be sure that you know how to use it before hitting the road. Apparently they do not operate by themselves.)

Jackson Hole
On the first night we stayed in the church parking lot in Jackson. This worked out great because when it was time for sacrament, we just hopped out of the RV and went into the church. The only problem with the first night was the fact that the RV was out of propane and it was FREEZING outside. The forecast called for highs in the 40's to 50 and a 20% of rain. That is how the 6 of us packed. After Church we walked around Jackson and then headed up to the Tetons to see Jenny lake. Jenny lake was awesome! even though it was an overcast day, there was still a lot to see. We even saw a Blonde bear (not to be confused with a white bear, as we were told by the park ranger that there is no white grizzly bear, and "Blonde bears have more fun.")

That night we stayed in the park. However, the heater killed the Battery to the RV, so we needed someone to Jump start us. We went and saw old faithful and a few other geysers in the area as well as some hot pots and a waterfall. That night we voted (the girls voted) to pay the extra to stay in a camp that had water and electric hook-ups. well worth the $. It was well worth it.
Old Faithful
The next day we woke up to about 2 inches of snow on the ground, we headed north to see the upper and lower falls. They were awesome! The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone did not disappoint. we planned on taking some trail to the bottom of the lower falls, but the trail was closed. There was still snow on the ground scattered throughout the park. We saw a lot of bison (which we learned is the correct name for Buffalo) and some more geysers. The highlight of the day was the buffet that we ate at. I have never been to a nastier buffet. It was disgusting, they did however have Churro's, I bet I ate 6 of them. Never eat at the buffet in Yellowstone.
Lower falls
On the final day we woke up around 6:00 to see some bears and moose, there was a good 4 inches of snow on the ground, no we did not see any moose or bears. We did get to wait for an hour and a half for the rangers to get the roads clear enough for us to head home.
We are in the 1st RV
We had a great trip and are lucky to have such great friends. Abe put in a lot of work into this trip and spent a ton of time driving everywhere. Liz was such a trooper for walking all over the place with her extra baby weight. Because of the weather, we did not get to see the whole park, but we saw enough for one trip.
It is hard to get back into the office after being off for a few days. But at least it is not snowing in A.F.

Looks like it was a fun trip!!!
We never took a group pic by the RV. Oh well, we still got some great pics!
man that's so true about blonde bears. I've studied them for some time and all of the blonde bears I've come across seem to have tons more fun. As far as living in the church parking lot, that's not a bad idea. I bet the church could make a killing and have more people active if they rented parking spaces like a trailer park. If you ever hear anything like that coming up let me know and I'll rent one for sure.
