Bridgers Bad day

On Tuesday, Bridger had a no good very bad day. We had his dreaded 2 month doctors appointment. He had to have 3 shots in his poor little legs and swallow a vaccination. Even before those awful shots, he had to have his tongue clipped because he was tongue tied. We had never seen another baby that was tongue tied, but we knew something wasn't right. We're glad it's finally taken care of. The poor little guy was screamed like I've never heard him before and by the end we were both crying. I really wanted to show all of the girls that I used to work with, how good of a boy he is, but Bridger was in too much pain.

Here is Bridge showing off his cool Curious George Band-Aid
When Nate got home from work, Bridger "talked" to him all about his day and all the torture that he had been through, and then he just wanted to cuddle with Nate the rest of the night, which Nate totally loved.

Today we also had a big day. We went and did sealing with Nate's family. Nate's dad is the genealogy king.
Then tonight we got to have dinner with my mom, my sister and her daughter.
It was a great day, but we are pooped.

I didn't know he was tongue tied (I think Tanner was). I'm sorry it was a terrible day. Tell Nate thanks for the help on Saturday, and it was good to see you guys!

That's so sad! I didn't even know that "tongue tied" was a real thing.

Dave and my niece Eliza were both tongue tied. Dave didn't get his tongue clipped til he was 17. He says, "It was fantastic!" He tells me about how he excitedly licked all the way around his mouth when he got out of surgery to the point that his skin was raw. And as hard as it is to watch and hear, getting it cut now means he won't remember the pain later. And call me crazy, but I drug Lincoln up with Tylenol before I leave for his shots. I don't know if you're doing that or not, but it seems to help.

I hate shots! Especially when they make you pin down your kids! I hope he is feeling better!

I'm the mean one that is making everyone pin down the kids while they're bawling to get 'procedures' done on them. It sucks on our end too!! But it must be done and you're a stronger mom for doing it. I'm proud of you man.
