The second weekend of August was filled with us going to a family reunion. My moms side, the Howells, decided to head to Lava Hot Springs in Idaho. We had such a great and we were grateful it was only about a 3 hour drive, McCoy hates the car. Nate has an employee whos family own a house there, so we were able to rent their place. It was perfect, with plenty of space to move around and enough rooms that we could get great night rests.
When we arrived our family decided to make smores and enjoy a camp fire.

The next day everyone decided to raft the river.
Here's Nate entertaining Bridger and Elina while we waited to run the river.
Bridger loved going down the river with Nate. We thought he might be scared, since Elina cried the whole way down, but he wouldn't stop smiling the entire time.

Later that night we had a yummy feast and then played our own version of minute to win it. Thanks to my mom and Andrea who put most of it together.
Stuart and Jentry .......dice on a tounge depressor
Ken and my dad.......ping pong balls into cups on measuring tapes
Andrea and I seeing who could keep their balloons in the air the longest.
Doesn't it look like they're having fun?

The next morning the family met at the Olympic size pool. It has diving towers, diving boards and slides that could entertain older kids for hours. Our kids liked it, but only for a couple of hours. There wasn't a kids area, so it made it hard to keep them happy.

We're so glad we went even though we missed Landon getting off the plane from his mission. We did however leave the reunion early so we could be there for his homecoming talk.
