I just finished reading the "Happiness Project." It was such a great book!! I was motivated to do things I wouldn't normally do and found ways to appreciate everyday life. So one of the chapters suggested to put yourself out there and make three new friends. I know Kim, a neighbor of mine, was excepting her first girl in the next month or so. I decided to put myself out there and called her up and asked if anyone was already throwing her a party. She said maybe a friend of hers was but she hadn't heard back from her for quite sometime. To make a long story short, Allyson ( the friend she was talking about) and I ended up throwing the shower together. I was in charge of the ward and Allyson took care of the teacher friend portion.

Kim was nice to let us host it at her house.
It was a great way for me to get to know some of the other women in the ward. I'm so grateful I called her and was able to give some service. I think I found a great friend in Kim and I'm excited to get to know her better.
