New York City

Two of my cute cousins graduated from Springville High, and for a graduation present their families spoiled them with a trip to New York City. Some of the rest of the family decided to tag along. I had been there for my graduation, 10 years earlier, but I was excited to go back. We had such a great time! So it was my mom, myself, my aunt Kim and her mom Karen, my aunt Angie and her daughter Brooklyn and my cute cousin Jentry.

 * First day we headed to the Subway to make our way to the 9/11 memorial site.
For many of us this was the first time we had ridden of a Subway.
Jentry (one of my cousin that graduated) and myself at the 9/11 fountains.
The only tree that survived the attacks

We then headed to Canal Street for some serious shopping. And boy was it FUN!!
We then ate at a yummy cafe' in Little Italy, just off Canal Street

*On the second day started out with some of us hitting up the flee markets in the Hell's Kitchen district.
These are some sexy glasses I found while shopping.
Later that afternoon we went to the Broadway show, Wicked. I went in not knowing to much about the show, but ended loving it!
In Time Square you can buy Broadway show tickets for 50% off, since it's the day of. We decided to go see Sister Act starring Raven Simon. It was a great show!

*Monday was a busy but great day full of adventure!
We thought it would be best to buy the hop on-hop off bus passes. It was a great way to get around and a whole bunch cheaper.
First stop the Statue of Liberty!
(mom, Jentry, Kim, Karen and me)
After the Statue of Liberty, we headed to Rockefeller Plaza for lunch. They had all the American flags out for my moms Birthday (Flag day) a few weeks later.
We decided to do pedi cabs to tour Central Park. I'm so glad we did, it was extremely hot. We also were able to cover a lot of ground!
Going down the stairs where they filmed the fountain scene on Enchanted.
At the end of the Central park tour my mom and I headed over to the new Manhattan LDS Temple. It was amazing, you could easily pass by it if you didn't know it was there. It was on my must see list and it was everything I was hoping it would be!
My mom and I in front of the Temple.
We seemed to end up in Time Square each day.

*Day Four- at the top of the list, the Empire State Building.
My mom and I at the observation desk, the view was amazing!
My mom and I before we hoped on the elevators.
After we shopped on 5th Avenue we met up with the rest of the group.

This is all of us on our last night in Times Square.
(Dee, me, Angie, Brooklyn, Jentry, Kim and Karen)
The three of us headed home on the plane, so sad!!

I had such a great time! A memory I will never forget and probably won't happen again. I was able to spend time with great people and get to know my family on a whole new level. Thanks to Nate for watching the boys!
