Shutterfly Cardworthy and Giveaway

This past week I was lucky enough to be invited to a GNO dinner thrown by HONEYBEARLANE BLOG sponsored by SHUTTERFLY
It was great to meet wonderful ladies from the blogging world and to get new ideas for my holiday Christmas cards.
Shutterfly is introducing a new mico site "Family Photo Day" micro-site

The concept is to get together with other families at a great location, for example a park.  Then have each family put together a unique, fun, different backdrop. Have a photographer came and take pictures in the different locations or take pictures for each other. It's a great way to get flesh and unique pictures taken.

Shutterfly also has the best ideas for Christmas cards, here are a few of my favorite:

A few tips when taking those "perfect" Christmas shots remember to:
*Photograph who your kids really are
*A candid moment captures a snapshot in time
*Everyday moments are equally valuable as major holiday photo opportunities
*The more pictures you take the more of a story you can tell

This site has a huge variety of styles for cards and it's so simple to use!! So
SHUTTERFLY would like to offer one of you a $50 gift credit to Shutterfly (total must be at $50 before taxes and shipping).
All you have to do is leave me a comment and share some ideas of what you would do for a Family Photo Day.
This giveaway will run through next Saturday, December 8th. I will announce the giveaway winner on Sunday, December 9th.
Good luck!

They also gave me this great idea to display my Christmas cards this year. Notice I only have one, so make your shutterfly cards and send them to me. I promise to send one back!

My theme would be silly candid photos so that personalities showed. Nothing where everyone was looking at the camera.

I've always wanted to do a photo shoot of our family up the canyon at a Park, so some on the play structure, some on the swings some on the green playing area, Some by a bridge and then up in the trees.

I have always wanted to have a family picture at a carnival and have my girls wearing tu-tus and pig tails, holding oversized lollipops and cotton candy! Since that is not going to happen, I would love to have a family picture in front of our new house....just need someone to take it!

I'd have to do a picture outside...up in the mountains since that's what my hubby prefers and my 5 month old is already follow in his fathers love of nature. Fun give away!

I had a friend who asked a woman if they could take pictures by her home. It was a vintage-style, older home with really cool, unique antique rocking chairs, etc. I've always wanted to copy her idea! My girls would look so cute in cowgirl boots and dresses (I'd like to keep the pics black and white with the pink boots as the highlight!) And maybe even bring some props of my own, like a vintage rocking horse or high-chair. Now if only I can convince Ammon to wear a cowboy hat!!!

Fun! I think it would be fun to get a picture of my kids jumping on the trampoline, it just exudes energy! Or I like the idea of a picture of the kids reading.

I would love to have family photos taken at a beach... maybe with the girls wearing white dresses and the boys in khaki and light blue.
