30th Birthday

I had the best 30th birthday a girl could ask for!!!! We took a kid-less vacation to California with our good friends the Young's! Celiece and I have birthdays in September and we wanted to celebrate BIG!! 

We took our kids to St.George so my parents and Andrea's family could watch them. 

 We left the kids on Saturday and made our first stop at the Las Vegas temple to do a session. There was mixed reviews on the new movie. It was a great way to start our trip!

On Sunday we attended sacrament close to the hotel and then headed straight to the beach. We started at Venice beach, which wasn't the cleanest or the nicest. But we did however, enjoy a yummy lunch.

 This by far was one of our favorite things we did, tandem bike riding! We hopped on the bikes and enjoyed the beach with the wind in our hair and beautiful scenery!

Monday brought The Price is Right show!!! I've been wanting to go to a taping in Los Angeles for a long time and it finally happened!!

 We waited about 5 hours in line getting interviewed and taking pictures. When we finally arrived in the studio, we were taken to the 2nd row and couldn't believe it! They never did call our names but we had a great time. I can't wait until it airs on Dec. 9th.

 After the show we headed to Downtown Disney to enjoy the shops.

 Tuesday we bought hopper passes to Disneyland and California Adventure.

We did single riders for most of the rides and we were able to ride Radiator Racers 4 times straight.

We rode each ride in both parks at least twice and still had time to spare. It's amazing how much you can get in without kids.

We had a great time and couldn't wait to see our kids(that's the first time we had left them overnight). We are so grateful to have wonderful friends we can go on trips with. And thanks to my family for watching the boys, we didn't have to worry about them at all!!

On my actual birthday, Nate took me to Texas Roadhouse. My sweet friend, Jene took over scouts for me so I could enjoy the day with my family. I also had friends and family bring by yummy treats and thoughtful gifts. 30 is looking like a great year!!
