Ogden Staycation

At the end of June we went for a staycation to Ogden. When you think about destinations you want to visit, Ogden is far from high on the list, but we had a great time. The first thing we did was to go to Union Station to see the train museum, the gun museum, the car museum, and the cowboy museum (AKA the small room with some cowboy stuff in it)
The boys loved the train museum and there was a lot to see.
Next we hit up the dinosaur park. It was awesome. We were a bit worried because it was supposed to rain, but the sun came out and and it was a perfect day. The park was pretty big and there were a ton of giant dinosaurs all over the place.
Despite the cool dinosaurs all over the place, the playground was what captivated the boys. They wanted to stay there forever.

The pterodactyl slide was particularly awesome.

When we got back to the hotel the boys got to do what they really wanted...watch cable and then swim in the pool after dinner.

The next morning we went to the Hill Aerospace Museum on our way back home. The boys were not overly eager to walk around and it was pretty warm, but there was still a lot to see.

We had a great little short trip. I'm sure we'll do it again at some point. Cass did an awesome job planning things out and is a great mom to create all of these memories for the boys.
