We decided to celebrate Christmas in St. George this year. We headed down the day after Bridger's birthday so we could enjoy Little Christmas Eve with the Brown family. It's a Norwegian tradition that includes open-faced sandwiches with unique toppings. It had been many years since we've been able to attend, so it was fun to introduce the boys to this tradition.
On Christmas Eve we took the boys to the temple to hopefully help them understand the true meaning of the season. We said good-bye to Elf Coco and left out cookies and milk. We also sprinkled food on the grass for the reindeer.
Christmas morning was filled with loads of smiles and laughter. Some highlights included; legos, Star wars guys, a Sega, books, Ninja turtle guys, Roku, makeup, games. We gave my dad a bobble-head Danielle (from American Pickers) he loved it, he couldn't stop laughing. We all loaded up and went to the Brown's to exchange more presents. We gave Ashton a card poster, which I think was a hit. The little kids received character sleeping bags from my parents, probably their favorite gift. We all decided to go swimming at the condo pool, because we could. The kids all loved it! Later that night we went and played games at the Brown's, a great way to end Christmas day!
We headed home the next day so we could surprise the kids the next morning with gifts from Nate and I. I think they loved getting new bikes and a basketball hoop.
