The first weekend in May we went on a boys trip with Grantpa to Goblin
Valley. I have been feeling guilty for the last couple of years not
taking the boys down there. We knew they would love it and we were not
disappointed. We found a great little campsite by the just outside of the state park. On Friday we went to Little Wild Horse canyon and hiked 6 miles. With the boys being as young as they are, that was quite the feat. the canyon was so fun and narrow.
The next morning we got up and had a big breakfast and picked up camp. We must have been moving faster than the rest of the campers because we got to Goblin Valley and it was empty. We had the whole thing to ourselves for the first couple of hours. the boys had fun running around, playing tag, climbing all over and discovering caves.
It was a fast trip, but one that we need to do more of. It is always good to go camping and let the boys experience nature. Even it if does involve sharing a mostly deflated air mattress with 2 snoring boys who insist on using you as their body pillow.
