Achievers Club Belize

At the beginning of April we went with MarketStar to Belize for Achievers Club. Kyle Connors and I had spent the last year planning this trip for the group and it was more than worth it. What a great trip! We stayed at Grand Caribe on Ambergis Caye, a small island off the coast. The room was a large 2 bedroom condo on the beach.
The first night we went with the few other couples that went early to sushi. Then the next morning after we had done some prep work, we hit the island. We had booked a bunch of golf carts for the group as there were not any cars on the island. It was pretty amazing that EVERYTHING we ate was fantastic.I am not sure that there were any bad restaurants on the entire island. That night we had a cocktail reception on the roof for the whole group.
The next morning we were up early to do an excursion with the whole group. We took catamarans out to swim on the reef and to Shark Ray Alley to swim with the sharks. There were 3 boats, and each group had very different experiences.  We didn't get out to the reef on our snorkel, but we did get to jump in the water with some small sharks. After that we headed out to lunch at Caye Caulker. It was an incredible small island with a very laid back feel.  We headed back on the catamaran and got ready for our group award dinner.

The next morning 20ish of the group took a small plane back to the main land for another excursion (there were about 80 in the group in total). After a couple hour van ride we got to the Mayan ruins. It was a small hike up to the site, but was pretty great once we got up on top.
From there we went cave tubing. For me, it was one of the best parts of the trip. the caves were very dark and without the headlamps, we would have been in pitch darkness. It was a very fun relaxing time.
Next stop was zip lining through the jungle. There were 8 lines and the last 2 went back and forth high above the river.
The next day was our free day. We hung out on the beach and swam in the pool with our friends and then went back into town for dinner.
It was a great trip and we are very lucky to be a part of a company that allows us to do these kind of trips and even more lucky to be in a position where we get to plan them to do the things and go the places we want to do. We are even more fortunate to have parents who are willing to watch our kids while we go on these fun trips. In the case the Bringhurst's came up and watched our kids for the entire week.
