Thanksgiving Week

We had a great/busy Thanksgiving week!! Nate was able to join me and Marshall to watch McCoy's Thanksgiving feast at school. They sang songs, ate yummy snacks and dressed-up as either a Pilgrim or Indian.
On Thanksgiving day we enjoyed dinner at the Hansen's. It's pretty amazing that we all still fit upstairs at their house. We loved eating, visiting and looking through the ads (Black Friday!!)
Friday I joined the Hansen sisters early in the morning at the mall to do some great Christmas shopping. Then that night I hosted a girl baby shower for Landon and Mary. We ate Cafe Rio, had them open darling presents and had dessert. We are so excited for them, they are going to be awesome parents. It was so fun to buy girly stuff!!
Saturday was really special!! Nate, Andrea and myself went and sealed my Grandma Bringhurst to her parents and then to my Grandad at the Timpanogos Temple! A random lady (I'm sure with good intentions) had done my Grandma's temple work not very long after she had passed away. People are suppose to wait a year after the person has pass away and then only close relatives can do their work. The lady had also sealed my Grandma to her first husband which she wouldn't have wanted. About a year ago I called Family Search to ask them for this persons information so I could talk to her and see who she received permission from to do her work and see if there was anything they could do for me. A few months later I received an email informing me that they were opening her temple work back up as if it hadn't been done for us to do.  In October I went and did her initiatory, then Andrea and I did her endowment and now to do her sealings was really emotional. The veil seemed very thin and we couldn't hold back the tears of joy. It was 11 years in the making, and prayers are answered!!
