Nate woke me up Monday morning complaining of stomach pain, and I needed to take him to the ER immediately!! Luckily, my mom had stayed the night with us because we had been at the Kay party the night before. We loaded up and headed to straight to Timpanogos hospital. We found out he had a kidney stone. We waited until the pain was bearable and it had mostly passed it. We hope this is the only one he'll ever have.
This incident happen to fall on the same day as our Sub for Santa party. I had sent out an email in early December to our neighborhood suggesting that instead of doing neighbor gifts we do a family through Sub For Santa with United Way. Families could sign-up for presents to help a single mom that works at Cafe Rio to support her family in Orem. There was a 15 year old girl, 4 1/2 year old girl and a 1 year old boy. We then provided treats and a hot chocolate bar at our house to drop off the gifts and visit. Our family was blessed with the opportunity to drop off the gifts and meet the sweet family. It was a great opportunity to serve and hopefully taught my young family about the true meaning of Christmas!!
A few days later was the Hansen Christmas party at Grant and Cathy's. Each kid draws another cousins name and has $5 to spend on the gift. My boys both received Disney tsum tsums, and Marshall received a bath toy from their draw name cousin. Grandma and Grantpa gave Bridger and McCoy lego sets and Marshall a fun ball toy. We then took a family picture since Cole will likely be on a mission next year.
