Play Ball!!!!

We wrapped up another great year of soccer and baseball with Coach Mike. They boys love playing on his teams.  

 Bridger was with the same guys that he has been with the past few years. This year they were the Blue Panthers and again, after all these years they were still undefeated. This year for Bridger, the field got bigger and they brought in a goalie. Bridger liked to play goalie and did a great job. We did have 1 scary incident where he got smacked in the face with the ball pretty hard.

McCoy's team was the Green Raptures. It was mostly new kids for McCoy but he had a great year. He was so fun to watch as he ran up and down the field. Every game this season he scored between 10 and 15 goals! It was incredible. At some points coach Mike held him back and he sat him a little more than the others to try to even it out, but as soon as he was in or allowed to go for the ball, he would grab it and usually score. We are hoping he continues to have as much fun in future years as the competition increases. 

McCoy also played baseball with Mike's team. They were the Pirates and McCoy was in heaven. He was by far the smallest kid on the team but he hung in there pretty well. He was extremely consistent in his hitting and scored a lot of runs. McCoy made the best play when he slid into home to keep his team going, to end up winning the game. We have been working on fielding balls as well and he has progressed dramatically during the year. Bridger did not want to play ball this year, which was kind of a bummer as they would have been on the same team, but he did play in a game or 2 and had fun working on hitting with us at the park.
