Fall Break 2017

For Fall Break this year we decided to do a stay-cation. Nate was having really bad heartburn so I took the three boys to Pumpkin Nights at the SLC Fairgrounds. We loved all the decorations and Bridger talked us in to doing the haunted house. It was a great way to start the vacation.
The following day we went to Salt Lake for the day. Our first stop was at the renovated Church History Museum. Our Neighbor and Bishop, Adam Andregg, made the Joseph Smith video that was playing there. They boys enjoyed it and we all learned loads of new information. We then went and walked around the State Capital. It's such a beautiful building with lots of space to the boys to run. We had lunch at the Lion House and walked around the Temple. In honor of Halloween time we went to the SLC Cemetery and found previous Prophets headstones.  It turned out to be fun and exciting when we were able to finally find some. It took us awhile but we found the book wall I've been wanting to see in person for a long time. Last, we stopped at a cookie dough bar that served the yummiest treats/dough I've ever had.
I've never hiked the Y so that was on the list for the next day. It was extremely hard but worth it. The boys thought it was cool to finally made it to the top. After we headed to the Jesclard's cabin in Heber. Channing is a friend of McCoy's and we've become friends with the entire family since the boys get along so well. It was an amazing cabin and we had a great time getting to know them better.
Fall Break has been a huge success and we need to take more time to enjoy the wondering sites around us!!
