Backpacking with Grantpa

 Bridger and McCoy went on their 1st ever backpacking trip this last week. Because of the ongoing COVID, we can get out and do things mid-week and still get school and work in. We are still not getting around people as you never know who is going to have it and where you are going to get it. Grantpa Hansen came along and it was a huge adventure. We hiked above Big Springs park in Provo Canyon which is above Vivian Park. We hiked about a mile and both boys did great. We found a spot on the side of a creek where we slept under the stars and told stories. We had a great night and in the morning, just after we had cleaned up camp and packed everything up, Grantpa tripped on a stick and slammed his face into a rock splitting his head open. It was HORRIBLE. We managed to get down the hill with him and he had decided that Grandma would take him to get sewed up. He got several stitches in his head and we are hoping he heals up fast. It was a trip to remember for sure.
