Grandma Kathryn

My sweet Grandma Kathryn passed away last week. She was my last grandparent and I'm going to miss her so much. She was so patient and kind. When I was a kid I used to love to go have sleepovers at her house in Orem. We slept on the pull out couch in their guest bedroom. She would always save the toy surprises that came in cereal boxes and let the grandkids pick them out of the box after sleepovers. We would go to their house on Halloween after trick or treating and get doughnuts. after Grandpa died she got a new sense of independence and despite being extremely tight financially, she was always so positive and kind.

For the last several months she has been ready to go and had been praying for this. She wanted a small graveside with no funeral. It was sad knowing that this was the last time I'd ever be together with most of the Madsen family. My dad conducted and said a few words and Marshall lead everyone in singing "I am a child of God"
