BOM Activity

 I've been pleading with the youth and adults for us to read the Book of Mormon in 24 hours as a group for the past two years. It finally happened this weekend!!! From Friday afternoon to Saturday afternoon. Instead of reading the BOM cover to cover in 24 hours we broke it into sections for each class to be in charge of. YW16 were in charge of Intro/Witnesses, 1st Nephi and Helaman. For the witnesses session I collected all the youth currently serving a mission to send a video of  their witness of the BOM. It was powerful!! We also played jeopardy, wrote our own title of liberty, did cupcakes wars, and had a reenactment of the Savior visiting the American people. As we ended with a song I had tears rolling down my face for several reasons; complete gratitude, the spirit was so strong, me not wanting it to end but also so relieved it was over. Becca Rose found me when it was over and gave me a hug and said, "if you did it for the One, I was the One". It was an experience I will never forget, I think many lives were changed for the better!! I know mine was!! I'm so thankful Bridger and McCoy got to be a part of it, Nate was also able to join us for most of the activity! A perfect way to go into the real reason for the season!!
