We had an amazing Christmas this year. For Christmas eve we had a Jerusalem dinner in the family room and talked about Luke 2. Then we went downstairs and gave Elf Coco a sendoff.
This year, Christmas fell on a Sunday. We had decided that we would to gifts AFTER our 9:00 Church. It was amazing, the boys were all ok with the plan. We got up and did our McMuffin breakfast and then went to church.The minute that closing prayer was said, you better believe that every family was making a mad dash for the parking lot!
We changed and headed downstairs for presents. We started a new tradition this year and played Christmas music on the old Bringhurst record player while we opened gifts. We had a calm afternoon. The Hansen came over, Cass finished a puzzle. And then we headed to the Hansen's for the Christmas party. We were excited for the talent show. This year we choreographed an amazing dance to the Hanson song Mmmbop. We hit the griddy, did the macarena, the funky chicken, and all the other moves we knew.
It was a great Christmas with a fantastic mix of honoring our saviors birth and partying hard with our very own Santa.
