For Easter Weekend and Spring Break, we went to Vegas to Tahiti Village. We had a great time escaping the cold and trying to find kid-friendly activities in Sin City.
We stopped in St. George to have dinner with the Bringhursts. McCoy had won our March Madness bracket and got to choose a family dinner, and picked In-N-Out. Tahiti was awesome and huge! The pools were great and we were excited to swim. On our 1st night, we heard pounding all night. I went several times to the front desk and was told to tough it out...the next morning Cassidy went down there and worked her magic. All of a sudden we were in a new room on the other side of the resort without any noise. That is the power Cass has on people! While we were out exploring, the Easter bunny came by our room and brought a bunch of eggs! He even brought the kids tickets to the Mario movie for later that day!
We had long thought that Cassidy's great great Grandad was one of the founders of Vegas. We went to Old Fort Mormon State Park Las Vegas to check things out and found a lot of cool William Bringhurst stuff. No, he did not found Vegas, but he was called to be in charge of the Mormon settlement down there when it was small.
We went to the Medieval Times tournament of champions, which everyone loved and was a highlight of the trip. We also checked out the pinball museum, which was HUGE and had tons of machines that we could play. On Saturday the Browns came to join us for swimming and hanging out at the pool and dinner at Raising Cane's.
We would go back for sure but might need to give it some more time to figure out some new off-strip activities for us to do when not swimming.
