High Adventure- Labyrinth Canyon

This year for High Adventure, the Priests and Teachers kayaked Labyrinth Canyon. We had been nervous about high, fast water, but it ended up being just high...We launched from Green River State Park. Beaches were almost non-existent. We passed ZERO the 1st day, but had read about a secret spot that we camped at on night 2. It was amazing. The next day we ended up having to go to the end at Mineral Bottom because there were no beaches, other than 1 site that was completely covered in ticks. It ended up being a great thing as it took quite a while to clean up that night so we could go in the morning. We spent a lot of time connected together as a big group being pulled by the boat, but also put in a lot of miles of hard rowing. McCoy hung with me most of the time and Bridger rowed with other young men in the ward.

We have a great group of boys in the ward and I'm grateful they would let me tag along.
